I’m not sure what it is that is so intimate about holding a photograph. A physical copy of the past, a real moment that has happened, forever enshrined. This last year I made it a goal of mine to slow down and really live in the moment, a practice in being present. As hippy dippy as that sounds, it built a big sense of appreciation of what I have in life. Numerous trips, friends both new and old, my favorite jobs and a real sense of belonging all around me. Out of the countless number of photographs I have taken this past year, these 99 are at my favorite and instantly bring me back to that moment in time.

Because moments are gone in an instant.
